ratings
The ratings were substantially low, but we saw GI Joe anyway. It was worth every penny; I knew what I was getting into, and needless to say I was absolutely for it. The special effects were over the top, the acting was way below par, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Popcorn and soda helped smooth the transition from person to moviegoer in an instant, and before I knew it I too was yelling for Joe.
radar
Radar sweeps through the minefield like an aura emanating from that person that you used to be. That was fifteen minutes ago. Fifteen years ago. Fifteen everythings ago. Where did that person go? Does it even matter anymore? That minefield's no minefield. It's your life. The explosives are the things that make it interesting. Turn off your radar.
forgotten
I had almost forgotten what she smelled like. Then a coworker wore the same perfume the other day, and it all rushed back to me; it's no coincidence that scent is the closest sense tied to memory. It all flushed back into me, and it was as exhilarating as that night.
order
There's simply no order to all of this. That's not a problem, though. I find order to be the most distracting thing of all, especially when I'm trying to have fun. Let's make a mess together.
chaos
Chaos erupted around the four brave souls, who had only just begun the deathmatch of epic proportion. "So this," Wayne said, "is why they call it hungry, hungry hippo..."
myth
the myth of death has long been discussed but making a modest decision, I elected an idea it is not a myth, but a tale, a story, ingrained in soul, and it is the next step for all of us.
pawn
The pawn moved forward two spaces, uncertain of his fate. "I don't want to die!" he thought, but nobody could hear him. The giant makers above him thrust another pawn to his left. He knew what had to be done.
salute
I salute you, faceless soul who embarked across the ocean to fight for reasons that no one can justify anymore. You shouldn't have to be where you are, but regardless, you serve, and you protect me because I can't muster the courage to do it myself. Thank you.
beach
The beach was calm today; the storm from the previous night was nowhere to be seen. Perfect weather for sandcastle building, as always. Wet sand can only improve the conditions required for such a laboriously fun task.
smiles
Smiles crept across everyone's face. "See? I told you smiling was infectous," he remarked to her. She still could not get over how easy it was for him to win over an entire crowd of total strangers.
