  3. I salute the people who work so hard to keep things going. That includes teachers, parents, soldiers, government workers (yes, I wrote that), tradesmen, public safety officers…the list can go on and on.

  4. salute I say to the man who is waiting for me by the cafe. I don’t know what we’re celebrating, but he offers me a drink and we drink a toast to each other. It’s kinda nice but also kinda formal. I thought we’d be less stilted by now.

  24. I wrote about salute yesterday. What sort of a cruel trick is this, to make me write about it again. I find myself wishing I could tie in OCHRE with salute, though I don’t exactly know how effective that would be. Ochre salute. THey both have an “E” other than that… I’ve got nothing – pah! on Salute!

  25. I salute those in my past as if they will impact me into my future. I feel strongly for everyone who has the ability to shape a person with a single meeting. For good or bad, you have made me who I am today so thanks for that. Even if I never warmed up to you, thanks for creating me. I enjoy who I am.

    She was silent. Then, flipping a mock salute, she disappeared into the doorway without answering the frantic calls behind her.
