I was happy before. I was laughing. I was enjoying the warmth of the summer sun, the breeze of the aves. But that was before. Before my life was taken from me. Before the waves took you away. Before, when I was not alone.
trap
She felt like she coudn't breathe, the walls were closing in on her and she was terrified of being trapped in the small, clusteed library. She started throwing the books on the shelves across the room, in the hopes of finding another way out. She coudn't stand all those words whispering to her - "This is the end.".
losses
The solitary man could not begin to count his losses. His heart, broken in pieces, pieces scattered all over the world. Aye, he travelled and saw so many things, but in the process lost so many people. It's hard to open the door to life, without letting death creep in as well.
principal
The Principal had a long, grim face, with bushy brown eyebrows and a nose like a vulture. He seemed to spy everybody, and wait for them to do something wrong.
patrol
A small patrol was sent ahead to canvas the area for remaining enemies. Joe was part of it. He dreaded the very thought that he might die now, at the end of it all. He found himself wishing it were a replacement in his place. Someboby who hadn't seen what he had seen these past few years. Someone who would die unknowingly.
stretcher
The stretcher bearer was a frail boy of only 16. He looked sad and lost and hopeless. He was stronger than he seemed though, carrying the captain back to the aid-station.
bandages
He looked so ragged and so innocent at the same time, in the dim light of the makeshift aid-station. His bandages were dirty and bloody, but his eyes were blue and hopeful. Maybe they would send him home. Maybe he will forget. Maybe.....
