castles
We looked up to the sky We cast our hopes high We thought we'd dwell in castles We'd throw off all our shackles The years would never weigh us down We never ever thought we'd drown In the ugly truth The truth of forgotten youth Abandoned childhood Welcome to adulthood We were wrong There are no castles Tear down your useless hopes This is the ugly truth that we're drowning in
until
Time flows like a rapid river, never ceasing, never stopping. The stream of time weeps, gurgles, laughs, and sweeps up everything in its path. It can never stop, and it never tries. Sometimes it moves at an agonizingly slow pace, flowing sluggishly like a fat lazy snake in the sunlight. Other times it moves at a breath taking, neck breaking pace, winding relentlessly, giving those sucked up in its wake whiplash. Regardless of the speed, time moves on, passing up multiple land marks. Sometimes those in the river of time miss opportunities or have unfortunate mishaps. Then they must wait until another opportunity arises, if ever such a one does arise again.
aura
Pins and needles up my spine, I am yours, you are mine. Breath on my cheek burns like a hot flame. Heart pounding in my chest, whose to blame? Your aura intoxicates me, and I can't turn away. Your eyes pierce like knives, torturing every single day. Hours move like years, your voice invokes my fears. No happy endings to this story, just death for love and glory. You're painful, but I'm drawn to you anyways. I try to stop, but my body never obeys.
elegance
Your elegance consumes me Your words--they drip with pleasure Pleasure for you Poison for me Your elegance will be my downfall Your words they poison me
never
Never take for granted what you have Never let the pain of today destroy the good in tomorrow Never let your light flicker out Burn bright until the day you die
witnessed
I witnessed the most horrific thing A mother walked through the hospital wing She carried with her a teddy bear Held it with the utmost care She cried her tears And screamed her fears "God don't let her go! I need my daughter more than you know! I want to hold her in my arms once more And see her play with this toy on the floor. Have mercy on me, make her well Life without her would be living hell."
demonstrate
demonstrate your fate don't try to clean your slate its all over now you've fallen under the plow
offset
Something isn't right I'm not all there It's not that I'm bad But it's that I don't care I'm running a race I know I can't win If there's no point in running Why do I continue in this sin It's a little conflicting, and very cotradicting I'm losing a battle that is already lost Just waiting to see how much it will cost
entirety
My entirety made up of fantasy. I do not dwell in reality, but instead surpass all normality.
trumpets
When all is said and done The trumpets sound and I have won It is no matter what you may think For the only thing that matters is I, the mink Your stupid games were no match for me And now I'll spend my days lost out at sea None of it matters now And I'm happy somehow For all of the absurdity has all gone away It's the end of the world, the end of today
