Christmas is one of the very few times that I get to see nearly all my relatives in one place; my father is the oldest of seven, my mother the third child out of four. I am one of three children, with three cousins on one side and 24 (26 if you count those who have passed) on the other. And some of my relatives I don't really LIKE all that much... but I love every single one of them.

It's just not that simple, in the end of things; a person isn't a puzzle that you can talk to and poke at and figure out and declared solved and move on. Just as you were learning things about them day by day and hour by hour and bit by bit, they were doing the same - from you and from others. A person is an eternal cipher, informed by their interaction with you and continually growing, changing, and intensifying in complexity.
