decoy
You are either an original or a carbon copy. Most of the people I've come across are merely decoys of what they can't be. These are the ones that pretend to be bold and powerful. These are the ones that have grown into their façade. These are the people I'm forced to walk beside; the ones I can't stand.
joyous
Oh, what a joyous relief to wake up in the morning and to find myself still alive.
incomplete
Who would I be if it weren't for you? I would be one of those people that just goes through life merely existing, leaving a trail of holes and incomplete stories. This is my thank you to you, because you may have been the one that hurt me most, but you were also the one that made me courageous.
shoulder
All I could see was her shoulder as she turned, and I immediately knew what it meant; she was finished, she was walking away from me. She didn't even say goodbye.
taboo
There are things we feel and people we see and before we can experience these people and these feelings we see them as taboo. We tell ourselves that it will never happen, but the inevitable always comes. We fall in love, we cry for no reason, we rejoice in our victories, and we die for a cause.
loom
The moon looms over us like a small child examines a ladybug. I wonder what's up there sometimes, but it simply isn't a mystery at all; the moon is a really a rock following the Earth.
stories
Life is composed of uplifting tales and depressing tragedies. You can't choose the next chapter, but that's life, and that's how you have to live it.
burning
If I died today I wouldn't want it to go unnoticed, but up in flames.
wall
I stared closely into the bank wall. On that wall was a set of emerald eyes, a thick nose, and warm lips. I was scared of what would happen next; would he kiss me or walk away, like every encounter before this one?
systems
As the brisk gusts of wind whispered to me, I observed the system of roots that were attached to the ground; surrounded by hues of fire orange and chocolate brown.
