hazardous
It's hazardous to take risks, I thought, for most of my life but I've realized now that's its hazardous not to. I didn't understand that making mistakes was not the end of me, that mistakes didn't negate my reason for being. It was in fact, hazardous to hold such views. I just didn't know.

Specifically there was something about him that was compelling. His intelligence, his bravery, is lack of engagement. She was a cliche, wanting what was out of reach. She sighed.

Penguin, small and compact. Cheerful creatures who go about their business in a matter of fact way. The males hatch the eggs, how interesting, she thought.

Lighters, cool, small, compact. They felt small in the hand, out of sight, like a secret with a flame inside. They were like her, self contained.

He wore a brown comfortable jumper. He smiled as she entered the room. He was as comfortable and unassuming as the clothes he wore. She liked him immensely.
