magenta
He looked up as she came in the room and instantly regretted it. He could not keep the color from rushing to his face. She stood in the doorway, adjusting something in her purse absentmindedly speaking softly to him, though he did not hear a word. "What?" he asked, his voice rasped from staying silent too long.

"I just have a question I need to ask you..." He trailed off as she turned to look at him. She was so sure, all the time. Do you forgive me for what I've done, he thought. Do you forgive yourself? Do you regret what you said? Do your palms sweat when it's just the two of us? What color is your toothbrush? There wasn't just one question he needed to ask.
July
She shivered. He thought that his eyes had tricked him before, but now he was certain. She was cold. The office was rather dry and cool from the air conditioner, he thought. He walked over to her desk and held out his hand. “Come with me,” he said. She stood as she followed him outside into the courtyard, where there was little shade, no place to hide from the heat.

She shivered. He was sure that his eyes had tricked him before, but he was sure now. She was cold. The office was rather dry and cool from the air conditioner, he thought. He walked over to her desk and held out his hand. "Come with me," he said. She stood as she followed him outside into the courtyard, where there was little shade, no place to hide from the heat.
hall
She had to be the freest hostage she had ever heard of. She was sent on errands, back and forth from office to office, out to the store, to his home, delivering this and that. She was never followed and never questioned if she failed to arrive back in the usual amount of time. Yet somehow, she had never felt more trapped by the walls around her.
satisfy
His hand brushed against hers as she handed him the files. She deliberately met his eyes and let the corner of her mouth twitch up for a brief (such a brief) second. He smirked, turned, and made his way back to his desk. His mind was overtaken by a series of memories, of his hand gripping hers, of decided stares that lingered and played.
mention
Immediately, the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. She felt her palms start to tingle and her stomach fluttered. Thankfully, her face never betrayed her. Her eyes stayed sharp and focused and her cheeks never flushed.
somebody
There was an odd phenomenon when he was with her; there never seemed to be enough time. It was beginning to affect other aspects of his life, which was another surprise. While he never had enough time with her, he felt he had too much time with everyone else.
ground
He looked up and tried to control his thoughts. He loved her. He had known he did for a long time, much longer than she thought, anyways. She was purposeful and sturdy, unwavering and sure. She was everything he was.
interest
Something caught her attention. She shifted her eyes to the right. Nothing. She sighed to herself; she was in an empty hallway in a quiet apartment complex, and still her nerves were on over drive. It could be because of who you're here to see, her mind taunted. She closed eyes and continued down the hall. He opened the door before she could knock.
