copper
The scent of copper Fills her mind She didn't know how much blood there was In a body But there was so much of it Far, far Too much To ever put back in The way it pooled at her knees And covered her hands As she froze there Over him It had been an accident Only an accident
decompose
To decompose Is thought to mean break apart Or degrade something Until it is unrecognizable But in it's simplest form It means to undo To wash away what was once there So that something new may grow And on that thought I think it's time For myself to Decompose
secluded
Alone In a quite place A safe place Full of wonder Mystery Joy Heartbreak Where I can forget my life And all the problems It is surrounded by And instead Take up the life of a hero Or a villain Or maybe somebody who just isn't me Secluded Lost in the pages Lost in another world
casting
Shy and quite She sits in a corner Looking Observing At the people around her Who smiles Who laughs And who Doesn't Taking in everything Carefully though So as not to get hurt By what she believes the people are Until someone gets too close And she lets them in When she doesn't act quiet so shy And she begins to hope for Hope But she is always proven right And she is cast aside for someone better So she goes back to her corner With an even thicker wall of Silence
shoulder
"You are more than a pretty face" Sometimes I forget that Sometimes I forget that I can feel And think And cry Or laugh I forget to stand tall With my shoulders back And my face towards the sky But I remember that one night So long ago And I try to be the person you thought I was then
truth
I used to think The truth could never fully harm me Yes it would sting Or even burn But the burn would fade And heal And leave me whole Happy with knowing Then I met you And created a fantasy world That I would try to run away from But I kept being drawn to it Until I learned the truth And now your name burns in my mind It burns my tongue when left unspoken But also burns when I can speak it So now all I want Is to go back And unlearn the truth So I can keep running from my fantasy world Instead of walking through It's ruins
bleeding
Drops pour from my hands Slipping through my fingers I bleed I bleed out my soul My life Thoughts Dreams Fears Hopes I bleed all of this Out into just three words That I know you cannot return And that is why they bleed from me Because with each drop It burns me And takes away a small piece of me And with each word A thousand drops Bleed from me Until after the third word has left my bloodless lips I am empty And have bled out everything that I am And was And could have been All for you
growing
I thought my first love would happen in an instant That it would be more than a spark But a giant flame burning through me I didn't think it would be like this Growing slowly Like a seed Needing time to be nurtured And cared for To itself be given love Turning into a giant tree One that protects me And covers me fully I thought my first love woudn't happen Until I met Your soul
claims
A lady passes by me and does not even look And a man might glance in my direction But A small child Walking by a discarded toy That is me Will pick me up And love me At least until he grows up And forgets me And so I am lost again But this time I am unseen And cannot be found Again
think
A tiny drop Can turn into a stream And then a river An ocean It can turn into a giant wave That swallows you whole And then it burns It starts in the center of your head and slowly drips down Until there is a line of fire That ends at your belly button And circles you And engulfs you The fire then freeze's you So you can not move And then just when you feel like dying It turns into a breath That fills you with life and then condenses into a single drop Of you And then it repeats All you can do is lay there And think
