smile
I love to smile. Not only is it good for me, it attracts people - and it means something good has happened. When you smile, the world becomes just a little brighter, and it can make someone's day just a little better :)
wasteland
My heart is a wasteland. You have sucked it dry, made it devoid of life. The only feeling I have left is an emptiness in my chest where my soul used to sit, before it flew away with blackbird wings. Wings that fled to higher ground once they knew I was lost, lost, lost forever in this endless desert.
waver
I wavered for just a moment as I looked down at the paper. This was it - the day of my first AP test; the beginning of the end of my testing career. But I was confident in my knowledge of literary devices, and put my pencil to the paper with gusto.
policy
It is the belief of this nation that all men are created equal. But policy to this date has not reflected this idealistic view. Women, minorities, youth, and those of a different sexuality have been discriminated against and devalued. So if policy can change this sad truth, it better start soon.
wanted
I want to be wanted. I want to have someone who will do anything for me, who'll stand out in the rain by my door for half an hour, waiting for me to come out after a fight. Silly? Yes. But everyone has a right to dream.
gym
Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she saw Eric enter the gym. He'd changed significantly in the five years that they'd been apart - a bit fitter, with newer clothes and a fuller head of hair - but the self-confident gleam in his eyes was still there, lingering under his nonchalant facade.
figure
A figure in white Softly drifts down the front hall A ghost, veil'd in tears
statement
He stood at the desk, arms shaking. The pictures on the wall seemed to be staring at him, their eyes full of condemnation, as if they knew in advance what he was going to write. He knew full well the potential dangers of his statement and the damning potential it contained. Then, with trepidation, he began to write the draft that would bring the company to ruin.
bee
Buzzz...buzzz...buzzz....buzzz...buzzzz....buzzz....buzzzbuzzz..... I have nothing productive to write about bees. I don't mind them - I'm not allergic to them, or scared - I simply have no opinion on the matter.
final
Finals. Oh, god, finals. They're sooo soon. I mean, I have my AP Mocks in a month, which are pretty much the finals for my classes, and then the APs in May, and that's it. Done. Finished. My life in high school can be measured in months, if not weeks, by now. It'll end soon, and that end seems so...so final.
