still
A still image. A photograph. A paper memory. Seeing someone you love reduced to a flat image, I'd rather not remember them at all.
advice
Whenever someone asks me for advice, I answer with this: -Stay in school -Eats lots of green vegetables -Don't do drugs -Never take advice from me I...Don't think they appreciate this.
concern
Her brow creased in concern. "But where are you going?", She asked. Her son just shook his head and gave a small shrug, he couldn't answer her. Again.
destruction
The word destruction brings terrible pictures to ones mind. Death and decay, loss and hopelessness. But without destruction, how would there ever be construction? How would mankind ever make things that were bigger and better? Destruction is a chance to start over, a clean slate. A chance to construct.
missed
"I missed you", she whispered. Her voice sounded hoarse and choked. He realised she was struggling to hold back tears. He turned to face her, surprised. He knew how much it would hurt her to say those words, how much it would damage her pride. He wrapped his arms around her in a gentle embrace, letting his actions speak for him. Telling her that he would always love her, and that he had missed her too.
brick
The children were half wild with anger. From half a block away the sounds of insane shrieks and cries could be heard, not to mention the unimaginable noise of the objects they hurled in their desperation. Anything from clumps of dirt to the bricks that had already shattered many of the dark glass windows of the house.
root
If humans could see the root of all things, what would they discover? Would they find answers, to hunger and sickness, to poverty and death? Or would they find only despair and insanity, pain and suffering? Or would they discover that both were one and the same?
muse
I'm not supposed to muse over this, just write what comes into my mind. Well, here is what has come into my mind. I'm sure you find it ecxeedingly fascinating. Now I'm annoyed because little red lines appeared under the word exceedingly and now I will have to use spell-check. Also, because I spelled it right just now and so I'll have to work out what is different each time. Wow. I put the c before the x. Ya know what? I'm not gonna use spell-check. Darn. Times up.
lightning
Lightning struck. The earth suddenly became as bright as day, giving the girl time to see the breathtaking view below her. The rain was beating down on her and her clothes were no protection from the howling wind, but here was nature laid out before her. A sight few had ever seen, and that one flash of lightning had been a sight she would never forget.
skeleton
So long he had waited to see her, but when she finally knocked on his front door he knew he had waited in vain. This was not the girl he had once loved. Something had broken inside of her. No, this was only a ghost, an echo, a skeleton.
