accordion
The man played the accordion as he gleefully walked down the side walk. Snow was falling and his breath was visible in the freezing air. He had a big smile and his music was jubilant and joyful. I knew the song and hummed along as I passed him. He made my day.
sparkling
Her eyes twinkling, sparkling even, in the moonlight. I held her hand tight in front of everyone present. I held my head high so she would be as proud as I was to be with such a beautiful woman. Everything I ever wanted is right next to me. I'll be sure to never take her for granted.
bland
Bland days that never seem to change. Monotony just sinking in as a normal part of life, even if that contradicts all that I want from it. It's getting harder to stand little to no change. If only I could see life from a child's eyes with their wide eyes and enthusiasm.
lilies
The lilies in the field just blow with the soft wind. The two of us sat, holding hands in the serene paradise. The sun was setting and even though it was quiet, nothing needed to be said. Everything was just perfect.
dusk
At dusk, the masks come out and everyone has darkness to shroud their true nasty monster forms. They play tricks and snack on the innocent and helpless. Taking advantage of everything, they make the world lose it's purity. As the sun starts to show itself, the masks go on with no time to spare.
palette
The messy colors seemed mixed and scattered on the paint palette. Her brown hair was in a braid and she had streaks of paint on her face here and there. She was wearing one of my plaid flannel long sleeve shirts, with the sleeves rolled up. She finished a painting of a princess from a far away land. But in that moment with that innocent smile on her face, I knew she was the only princess I ever needed.
gown
Her gown was astounding to me, even in the low light. The way she moved so gracefully through the room with each step. She took my breath away, but no matter what, she would never love me. And one day or another, I would have to accept that fact.
beckon
I beckon ye to sing with me, the songs of ye olden days. To sing along to spread music and joy across the land. I beckon ye to come sing along to spread holiday cheer and be merry.
sneaky
Sneaking down the hall, looking through the crack of her door. Light was flooding from her room into the small hall as she took sneaky steps into the silent home. She was getting ready to look for her Christmas presents while her parents slept. But she wasn't quite an expert, as she got caught.
return
Return, come back. Give me one last goodbye kiss. Give me one more minute to stare into your eyes, to glance at your smile. One last second in your warm embrace, one last second to be in your arms. One last chance to whisper, "I love you." But it's too late, you're already gone. I wish you could return.
