statement
Her statement was bold against Janelle and her face was hot. She couldn't stand her superior attitude and ways of bringing people down. But then, surprisingly, Janelle did something that surprised Kat, and put her face in her hands. Janelle was crying.
recipes
She shuffled through endless recipes, all for mainly sweets like fudge and coconut cake. "It tasted so sweet then", she thought, "why isn't anything sweet anymore?" But really, life was sweeter than could be.
summer
The summer's night made it humid and stuffy. She opened a couple of her windows. a big breeze blew in and she felt the wind tear at her hair. It knocked over the porcelain elephant vase in the corner. It shattered on the parlor floor.
perfectly
It was perfectly typed, perfectly grammatically correct, perfectly everything. She took a long look at it, and then threw it in the fire and watch the flames slowly eat it, pull it into the darkness.
discover
She wanted to discover something about it. She wanted to find something remarkable that would help with the mystery. But all she could find was the ratted piece of parchment and a flap compartment behind the cover.
route
She took the east route, as she liked that side of town better anyway, but it wasn't long before she stumbled upon a wide rushing river, too treacherous to cross.
library
She walked into the dusty library. She only saw a glimpse of some spectacles behind a desk. "Umm.....I would like to donate this book?"
wishing
All she was doing was wishing upon a forbidden star that Casey would come back;everything would just rewind and the murder would never have happened, but it wasn't long before her distant star burst into flames, and only left a small, charcoaled hole
tarnished
She took one look at the tarnished medallion and knew that Casey would have loved it. She bought it just in spite of herself.
paperclips
She tried to find things to take up her time. She sorted her desk drawer full of paperclips, staples, and pens. Still, she couldn't think of anything to do.
