simple
A simple execution leads to a simple outcome. No worries, no hassles - just the result you need. Unfortunately, things are never as simple as you want them to be, meaning that getting to the results is often easier said that done. Which is the problem I had with my latest piece.
past
The past hasn't always been nice to me. Then again, neither has the present. But, the present ends up as the past, so that figures. I've had a lot of ups and downs (more downs than ups, but there's room for change), and it's made me think a lot about who I am. I wish they hadn't happened, but then again I think I might have been a different person were that the case.
revised
It's all been changed now. Everything. Every single little thing that I've done has been turned into something else. It's not just like revising a document - changing the grammar and whatnot - because this is more than that. More than a few words - this whole project is my life.
collapse
I felt myself collapse – my feet bend, my legs sway to the sides – and suddenly I was on the floor. I wasn’t sure what was happening – the world was spinning, and everything seemed strangely blurry. As I struggled to get up, I felt a hand on my arm. “Katie, are you alright?”
