somebody
I need the courage to go through life as an absolute nobody. Not everyone is able to have it all.
spent
It's been about one year and seven months since I've known you, and I've spent most of my time thinking about you.
teach
But they never ever teach you what's important at school. They don't reach you how to make friends, or how to fix a broken heart. They don't teach you that life is fleeting or how to achieve your dreams. They don't teach you how to face your fears or find the courage to move on. They don't reach anything worth knowing.
use
Things. We're meant to use things to help us. Say, tools to fix broken appliances, appliances to wash our clothes and clothes to cover our nakedness. Or add to our street cred. But lately, we shift from using things to using people. People to mend our broken heart, people to run errands for us and people to cover our nakedness. Or add to our street cred.
interest
You were charming, kind, stable, mature and grounded. And that's exactly why you didn't pique my interest. You were boring.
steps
1. "Look, honey! Her first steps!" 4. "Isabel, stop running around. I need to change you. Come here!" 15. "Don't you dare stomp off when I'm talking to you, young lady." 26. "Is your new place far from work? How long does it take to get there on foot?" 47. "I'd never have thought that one day you'll be the one teaching me how to walk again."
