And like I needed to brush my teeth. It was a luscious, fresh smell, and I lay down in the middle of it, crushing the frail leaves beneath me, and just breathed the smell. It was the most refreshing nap I ever had in my life, only I didn’t sleep, I just lay there, breathing.

  25. Sweet and soothing. My mother’s garden was full of mint and tomatoes and flowers and catnip. I’d pick the sweet catnip and drive the cats crazy. They’d fall over themselves, rubbing against my legs and calling for the sweet mint leaves. Sunshine and dirt. The chickens nearby would call for the sweet borage leaves they craved and I would eat lemons fresh of the tree, even though my mother said they would rot my teeth.

Herbs are one of the first biotic signs of life in abiotic environments during primary succession. She was to plant that pot of instant mint (just add water, just add love). On a windowsill where we would live together– but that’s not happening.

  28. I haven’t had a mint in a really long time. But when I think about mints I think of my husband who loves them. He likes the little white life-saver type mints that come individually wrapped in huge packages. I honestly think he likes their price more than he likes them. But its just another endearing think I like about him.

  29. MInt makes me happy. It makes me think of the holidays with all of my family. My family makes me happy and they always make me laugh. When I laugh I’m happy so I guess in the end mint equals happiness! So have more mint everyone and you’ll remember what it’s like to be happy, and maybe someday you’ll have enough that you’ll never be sad again!!

  35. Mint always reminds me of birthday parties. Or just good times in general. It’s makes me think of mint ice cream with chocolate chips, or else those chocolate mints they give you after eating somewhere really nice, like olive garden. It’s cool and refreshing, like any situation I can remember it belonging in…
I never realized how fond I was of it.
