Fun. Celebration reminds me of bright colors. Lots of people. Food. Family and friends. People you love. Surrounded by happiness and euphoria. Usually little kids running around and adults talking about sports. Maybe sun dresses and the colors red and yellow. Flip flops. Lakes and beaches. Cake and ice cream maybe?

Stories from the past and plans for the future were shared. I learned so much those cold nights with my family. Food and spirits brought us there, but celebration of each other kept us. Now that time has passed, those people no longer come to my table. Busy, removed from this society, or dead, they lack the presence necessary to celebrate with us. The time has come for me to find a new celebration.
