when you've never even been sad before or maybe you'd never been happy before and this is just going home because this feeling is familiar and you don't know what to do, staring down at this animal it's only an animal you've killed people and this dead animal that you didn't even hurt is just -

watching through the window there's a dog begging for scraps she's in the bushes fuck this she's just gonna leave and there's a girl at the table and there's a bandaid on her knee it's pink like melissa's bow floating in the red glossed water

she's never really been interested in anything before. she needed to know things to accomplish tasks given to her; she'd never wanted to know something just for the sake of knowledge. the desire for knowledge was, she decided, an interesting feeling.
wasteland
everything seemed so clean. when you thought of the end of the world, this isn't what you imagined. there were no bodies on the streets, no crashed cars. hell, it looked cleaner now than it had when people LIVED here.
