failed
Do or do not, there is no try. Win or lose, there is no failure.
smile
And her smile lit up the room, illuminating the furthest depths of the darkest corners with irresistible incandescent light. And there was only her, as the rest of the world faded and only her and her smile remained embedded beneath your eyelids. And your heart sighed. "There you are." it said, "I've been waiting for you."
forgetting
Memories swirl in a cloud of broken thoughts; rising up out of the ashes, brushing delicate tendrils of long-dead stirrings. Vainly they claw; etching out a cavernous hole deep within; threatening collapse. Never relenting. Never gone. With each passing day you sink, deeper and deeper into the spiral, yet you are incapable of abandoning the yearning, the regret, the deep gashes. Never can you let it go, let it fade away. Never can you forget the pain of the scars.
limo
The limousine pulled smoothly up to the curb, about as subtle as an ox idling in the middle of a freeway. It wouldn't have been as conspicuous, but the delipadated storefront and the ill-paven streets left one pondering its general appearance. But this soon became irrelevant. The limo exploded in a matter of seconds, pulling off an impressive fireball and emitting a boom loud enough to rattle the glassless window panes. A brooding silence followed.
montage
Photos line the wall, calling out silently, gasping with their open arms. Eyes glance onward, gliding over the impressive montage, the montage so desperate for attention. No. Nothing will make you look there again. The cries are in vain. There is nothing there for you now.
remember
Remember. When the leaves fell. When they twirled around you in a cloud of benevolent feelings. Remember. When arms wrapped close around shoulders so cold, enveloping all doubtfulness and icy memories in the warmth so craved. Remember the moments of regret, where all love seemed to be an estinguished candle flame. Remember the spark which kindled the fire. Never forget. Remember.
