  1. Specific seems like such a scientific word. As if everything needs to be so specific. Why can’t it just be? Why is there a need to analyze to find specific features? Sometimes, we lose sight of the big picture by looking for all the specifics.

  7. Everyone wants to know but its nobody’s business. Being specific makes others feel important because it takes their mind off their own problems. And even though I know I hate to be asked about the specifics, I cannot help but ask for them myself, at least a time or two. Just to silence the thoughts in my own head.

  8. there are specific things to know about specific. there cant be more than one thing, its a certain thing. its amazing at how many things could be specific when specific means, well, one specific thing. I think its crazy how so many things have became specific when it seems there’s no time to figure out whats specific and whats not.

  19. Well to write about the word specific you really need to be specific. It means to be very detailed and vividly described. If you take the s off it sounds like pacific.

  20. specific. ha, i can never spell this word. I am the worst speller in the world and this is the hardest one. Someone once told me I was pathetic because I couldn’t spell. I feel bad for him. He judge me for having dislexia.

  23. I asked for something specific, not random. If I wanted something random I would have said random. I didn’t. I was specific. I wanted the very thing I asked for. Otherwise I might have asked him to hand me just any old thing. Now I don’t have what I asked for, even though I was specific. Not only was I specific about what I wanted, I was clear in my direction to hand it to me. Now I have exactly what I didn’t want. Specifically not what I asked for. Next time I’ll be random.

  26. TO be specific is to make a choice, to make one choice above all others. Theidea is to eliminate a lack of clarity and to be sure that the object, emotion or idea that you are referring to is something that someone else will be able to understand. Of course, this is not exactly true according to semiotics or general semantic theory. That is it refers to something in their own experience.

  33. Hard to cut to the chase, have to get to the point. Make your statement and it had better be good. You only have 60 seconds to make it count, and for someones life to change in that amount of time. See the pindrop as you reach inside your brain and pull out the information that is surrounding a topic.
