  9. She dove into the pool, blonde hair neatly pinned back and wearing a designer swimsuit. It was hard not to be jealous of the rich girl’s life by watching her from afar. But if one were to know about the inner turmoil brewing inside of her, they wouldn’t be so quick to judge.

  10. The living are confronted by the great pool of life. Some stand timidly by the side, waiting for the water to come to them. Never satisfied. But others stretch their arms high high above their heads, force their knees to bend then spring their body between water and earth, then plunge into the pool. Simply for the sensation of living.

  17. swimming pool, wavy from people jumping in. Wet, cold, lovely when its sunny and outside, grim when its in an old victorian building. Sometimes, they used to put dance floors over the pool. I don’t think they do that these days. You see little pools of water on the pavement or paths sometimes. my dog likes to jump in them and brings her muddy paws into my car, making it both hairy and muddy. I like to splash in them too, in wellington boots.

I haven’t been in the pool since Mike died. He loved swimming, would go out every day he could, and play with the kids. He left them with me that day, and I can’t seem to brind myself to join them.

It took a year before I was comfortable enough to let them jump in, without me, for fear of them drowining.

Exchanged the rings from Kay’s. We’d said I will, I do. And laughed when we stumbled. How the hell were we supposed to get out of the pool?

  34. Her eyes were dark and blue, like looking into a pool of cold, frigid water. You dip your fingers in and the shock makes you draw back, but had you only stayed in the water longer you would have adapted to the cold and it would in turn have been where you found the most warmth. You would no longer be used to the world without the water and when you removed from it, you would be left shaking and stuttering with the chills.

  37. “Come on in!” She stood at the side, looking down into the blue. Light reflected off the surface in strange patterns, dancing over the ceiling. “What are you waiting for?” She stayed still, watching the way the water moved, wondering at the patterns.

  39. I love to swin, but who doesn’t? the swimming pool is a great place to spend your time and even children can enjoy the simple pleasures involved. I hope you love to do the same. Many pople miss opportunities to swim, but I feel bad for them. If I couldnt’ swim, the summer would be much less fun. Swimming involves limited amounts of movement, which makes it easier. I need lots of arm and leg strength to swim, although I find my self sometimes lacking.
