My body was a paintbrush. It swirled and dipped and lost track of time. It moved to a rythm that didn’t exsist in the world of men. It was in a place of its own time. It had it’s own rules. Then the buzzer rang.
It’s hard to say what this word might mean. Some will say “happiness,” some will say “school time,” some will say “I hate them.” I say create. Create what you can with what you have. Not only in painting, but in life. Life is our canvas. Don’t stop painting.
I wish I were a painter because I really like paintbrushes. They are soft and smooth but wear over time. But what would I do with a paintbrush if I can’t paint.
A paintbrush of thoughts, feelings, how about a paintbrush of good ideas that would change lives. Or a paintbrush of ways of thinking about what you have and what you’ve dont which will allow you to change your course. And sleep at night.
stroking over old marks on the wall, i forget the past which was my first love… he helped me paint that wall canary yellow, and those walls could sing, i painted them over .all white I forgot him as soon as the brush hit the straight cold wall.
paintbrushes remind me of my ex girlfriend who was a seriously fucked up artist, but created some of the most beautiful and haunting images I have ever seen. I made the mistake of breaking her heart a long time ago, but she eventually used that to create better things.

i picked up a paintbrush this morning. it was thick and covered in goo. i slapped it onto the wall in front of me and covered myself in it, too. it was a lovely bluish colour, one that makes you think of the sea. the front room looks fresh and clean now and i’m as happy as can be.
It is long and hairy and covered with a mess of color. People utilize it in only one way, to paint. Although I do believe it could be used in many other ways. Plastic or wooden handle, it is a magnificent invention, making human lives easier everywhere.
The paintbrush sat in the pot, with the colour slowly peeling off towards the surface of the water, so that a skin of red lay at the top of the old jar.
The top of the jar was covered in daubs of previous colours.
colors piss me off, i just want things to be black and white, not gray not fuschia not cerulean. i want things to be simple. people to be simple. thats simply everything. then i would be just as simple too.
It’s there, sitting there, brush-side up. By the kitchen window. Speckles of vermillion green and some shade of umber are dried in. I think it was last communing with a tree on canvas. I can’t remember which tree. It’s looking lonely but I don’t feel I want to pick it up again quite yet.
A blank paintbrush for an empty canvas. Longing for paint to caress its lonely fibers and mean something in the world. Oh to paint a rainbow and feel alive!

The best way to keep a paintbrush in good condition is to wrap it in xlingfilm after you’ve used it. This keeps all the bristles nice and smmoth, thus giving a better result the next time you paint somethig. Its also a good idea to wrap brushes that you’ve used for gloss poainintg in clingfilm, in this way you don’t need to clean then with white spirit between uses
