  5. myths are fictional stories. sometimes a myth takes hold in a society and founds their religious beliefs. myths to me are a misleading push from the truth to benefit the myth-giver, and this attitude has founded society since the begining.

  6. Myth a a very cool word. It is like a legend. I took a mythology class once and it kinda sucked cuz the old woman teacher stood at the podium in front of a large audience and mumbled about odysey for like 2 hours every day for a week. oy vey.

  22. something that is often attributed to the early stories of the Bible. yet if your really understand early OT/jewish thought, these are not myths but rather stories told in the language of the time and the culture of the people of the OT. Very interesting. numerology is well done too.

  27. something that isn’t true it’s a story that is probably from the past that has been passed on for generations usually with made up characters and “mythical” creatures. It has to contain a quest and a goal and a hero in order to be extremely interesting when I think of myths I think of

  37. It’s a myth that we are what we eat – it’s a myth that women have intuitions – but it isn’t a myth that an apple a day keeps the doctor away. I love myths – I love to hear new myths and wonder about those myths. Sometimes myths are good and make you feel good – but sometimes they confuse you.

  40. Myths often occur in society. They are not something to be afraid of however. A myth is typically a figment of someone’s imagination that is loosly based off of the truth. I really like some kinds of myths, especially greek myths.
