  1. When someone has left something they have gone away and not brought along the specified item with them. This may be purposeful

  2. All that was left of my files was nothing. A great, big fat nothing. I had copied them all to a DVD and the burn notification said it was successful. I learned a valuable lesson today; don’t trust a burn notification, especially from NTI. I went ahead and deleted all the files after getting that message because I am returning a recently purchased laptop due to problems with the sound card. In the week I’d had this laptop, I had moved a lot of files over from my tower PC and had organized them quite nicely as I was determined this laptop would be organized. But now, after I get it replaced, I will have to start from scratch because I was left with nothing.

  5. Left of center. It comes to mind maybe because nothing ever is what it seems. Nothing ever happens exactly the way you plan it. The sooner people learn it the better. You might be disappointed for a while, but it usually turns out alright in the end. Usually.

  8. to the left is where the bathrooms are. Lets go in together. It shouldn’t be that hard to get in. There is no line. Hurry up. Lots to do. My belt is unbuckled. I’m trying to hold it in. I just might burst. Lets get this thing done. Quickly.

  9. So I decided it was time that I left. I had had enough of it all. It was not just that we had so little in common. It was the way that she at times would treat me as if.. I were nothing or less than nothing. She had her cats, she had her parents, and while she had me, it was almost like I was a backdrop, a piece of scenery, and truly I was tired of feeling like a ghost in my own life.

  10. Left is the other side. The one I don’t use to write with. It’s my weak hand, the little claw.

Left alone. All alone. Left behind. Don’t leave.

    by Aaron on 05.10.2008

  20. I couldn’t believe that he left. It was just a little misunderstanding, but he just left. I don’t remember saying anything mean, or even rude, but he still left. What am I going to do? Is he coming back? Is he gone for good? I don’t know. All I know is that I wish I’d kept my mouth shut.

    by Christine Senter on 05.10.2008
  21. I cannot believe it. My left hand, the evil appendage that it is, has screwed me over again. My right hand, now there is a stellar example of of five digits and a palm. Forced to shake a prospective boss, hand with my left, I just know that my handshake came across as feeble limp.

    by Jason Surch on 05.10.2008
  22. Since 1968, my politics have veered to the left. As one of gene McCarthy’s youngest campaign workers, I quickly learned that the “best man” does not necessarily win. I have been disappointed in the outcomes of many elections, coming

  23. I was left at the bus stop by my ingrate of a father sixteen years ago to this day. Maybe that is why I am in such a foul mood. The memory of that fear chilling my bones as I tried to stay warm beside the dumpster out back.

  24. Pushing past the thin piece of skin that keeps us apart; it is all that’s left of a barrier. This is the last standing wall before the entire city is demolished. This is the final straw, the last nerve, the drop of water that breaks the dam. Pushing pressing driving thrusting digging punching twisting biting stabbing kicking.

    by Carn on 05.10.2008
  25. I told you the twisty treat was on the left! now, you have to go up to the light and make a U-turn. Hey! Look that guy in the little running shorts just stopped his jog to throw a couple of punches. WOW! That was a kick! Damn, I want some soft serve! put your foot on the gas!

  26. Left is to right as I am to you. You think that we are so different and in many ways we are, but we are also so alike. We are both headed our own directions, and we don’t let up or down change us, and we both know what we want.

    by Tina Neiweem on 05.10.2008
  27. I think you’re left handed, but I’m not sure. I feel like that’s probably something I should know given that we’ve been dating for almost 2 years now. Am I a bad girl friend because I don’t know if you’re right handed or left handed? Am I a bad girl friend if I sometimes wish I was single?

    by Trista on 05.10.2008
  28. All about the correct way to align your politics. On the sinister hand, possibly wickidly hot. I never know which is left, starboard or port. Somebody please help. Of course anticlockwise is a lovely direction, greatly preferred by many species of vines and ivy’s. And if you wind your coil that way, maybe the north and south poles will suddenly invert at the mere touch of the battery. Now there’s a thought. Trouble is, would anyone notice the difference. Does that mean that ocean currents would change, or maybe the auroraborealis will suddenly wind up to create some of the most spectacular displays, yet seen in this hemisphere (or is it the other?) Do we have to turn our maps upside down, or would that cause the rotation of the wind currents to reverse, and if so, what would that mean. Tired now. Must stop.

  33. go to the left, if what you’re looking for isn’t there then perhaps you’re not looking hard enough. think about what it is you really want is it at your left , or should you backtrack and turn right? you won’t really know what direction to go in until you know what it is you are looking for, or is it the other way round?
