a lot of people in my family are left-handed. i am not. i hate the feeling of being left out. i am always feeling like i am that one who is left behind. left turns with no stoplight frighten me.
and to the left of me was the back bone of a whale. i walked towards it, hoping to discover something hidden underneath its perfect curvature, but when i lifted it (with a struggle) all that was underneath was sand, stained sand.
I ate a plate of spaghetti that was left in the fridge because nobody claimed it. Delicious it was. The sauce had some peppers in it that I didn’t quite like, but that’s ok. I’m not too picky.
left always strikes me as a better word than right. because its tied so closely to politics, and i find myself pretty far left on the political spectrum. But that’s not a good thing. words shouldnt be better than another, left simply signifies a direction or placing.

I turned left at the light and hit a homeless man. He fell and hurt himself on the curb, but he got back up and started jogging away. I tied to follow him but he turned left at the next corner and I lost him. I left also and never looked back. What else is left to say?
The word left is a very important word. It could lead you to unexpected places. Just turn left and see what happens. Left means leaving something behind, or a leftover. It can be a sad word.

It makes me think of silly pointless siscors, when what I should think is the everyday difficulty that a lot of people deal with because there strength tends towards a different directiong. Having said that it is just a direction, and just as worthy as right, or straight forward and backwards for that matter. I don’t know about political socialization or whatnot, but the political left has far more sensible opinions regarding almost every social issue. The right seems more attached with continuing vestigial and unnecessary traditions (largely) in order to maintain the status quo.
In order to realize the kinds of sci-fi futures, the left is where it’s at.
