  2. He had not seen her in a while. That is probably why he was so shocked. When he had left, she was only a small child, cradled in her mother’s arms, cooing softly. Now she was at the top of the stairs, dressed like some kind of human-alien mix, screaming at her mother at the top of her lungs.
    “Ah, growth,” he thought to himself, smiling. “Thank God I have already been through that.”

  3. trees and me and when you get older. that’s all i can think about. except thor. he is big. experienced some real growth. i was pretty impressed. huge puppy. so cool. i wish i could grow more. i’m so damn short it’s pathetic! grr….but the flowers grow nicely when they do.

  4. a flower! a beautiful fucking flower reaching my grandfather. she’s small, i know. but she does enough. i love her, and i love him. she grows beautifully. i love you. i fucking love you. and it grows. i can’t stop it, just keeps growing. all the time and i fucking love it the way i love us.

  6. When we are little, all we can think about is growing up. What do we want to be when we grow up? Who do we want to be? Where do we want to be? When you are “grown up” all you can think about is…Why do I have to grow up? Do you remember what you wanted to be?

  8. Personal growth is the most important thing in life. We each have a limited time on this earth that we can use, and if we’re not growing and moving forward, we’re wasting that time. It doesn’t have to be grandiose or fast, just forward. Once we get this in life, things can only get better. Valuing growth is incredibly healthy.

  11. in order to grow you must learn about yourself.. to know what choices you made that were wrong and where you want to go from there. Growing is allowing yourself to become the individual you have always wanted to be. Learning what makes you happy.. a better and stronger person that when the day began.

  12. Plants grow slowly in the earth, going from the dead brown of winter to the hints of green as spring approaches. By summer, they crowd the back byways in the woods behind my house, eager to give me poison ivy or stick to my clothes. The woods might be easier to walk through in fall, when everything’s dead, but the more enjoyable walk is the one fighting through living things.

  13. I love growth. On a human, growth includes feet, hands, eyes, arms, mouths, just about ANY body part imaginable. Growth can also be considered emotional. Emotional growth is turning fear into bravery, shyness, into extrovert. Or a growth can be a callus.

  22. Something is growing inside my friend Sophie’s right knee. She has lost her hair, although the doctors say it should begin to grow again within a few weeks, and her face has grown round and paler than before. She has grown more graceful than I remember because her blurriness and the slow way she walks make her frozen as in a painting.

  24. Growing old is such a hard thing to do. Every year just gets more depressing than the last. People don’t want to grow old, but what else can they do? It’s funny how something that little kids treasure and look forward to, older people hate. We spend our days wishing and ruing the day we grow old.
