  1. Glossy magazines, pictures, fur. A sign of health or high quality; this word means positive things, in general. You pay more for it or it’s an indication of good health in an animal…or human, if you can have glossy hair. No, you can’t. What else is there to say?

  24. I painted my toe nails the other day a bright orange. Is toe nail one word or two? Either way, I find that my next to big toe almost covers my big toe, and so I have to purposely stretch them out or stuff cotton balls between them, otherwise it scuffs the paint, making it look rippled and matte, rather than glossy.

  25. So it seemed to be the simplest explanation. Life, in its base elements, dancing around her, and yet, she was seeing it now for the first time. All the glamour of make-believe had faded. All the childish ways of yesterday were now nothing more than memory. And for what reason? The shine in a young boy’s eyes… How perfect.

    by Michael on 04.28.2009
