  2. Lost is the best thing to be. Because you’re looking, and people are looking for you. Things are being discovered and you are discovering a whole new world. 3. yesterday i found a dollar. instead of donating it or trying to find its owner, i bought a lottery ticket with it. i didn’t win the lottery. i guess i wasted a dollar, but if i had won the lottery, i probably wouldn’t be saying that. i guess the real question is, what should i have done with my newly found dollar? was there a better way to spend it? should the measure of its value be the impact that it produces?

  16. He found it, when he looked at her. The woman he’d always been looking for. And all it took was just a look to realize that. It had nothing to do with her physical appearance, and everything to do with the way she smiled at everyone, despite their reactions, and let other people onto the subway before her, even though she’d been at the front of the line. And then he watched her get on the train herself, just before the doors closed, and speed away, without even knowing her name.
