  1. I really don’t know where I’m going at this point. Hopefully, some sign will appear, will let me know where I should be heading or where I should already BE at this point. But I doubt it. Wherever it is I’m heading in my mind all I can foresee is a blur. Not sure. Not sure at all.

  2. the course of action we must take is a logical one. one that is steeped in many falacies and, worse, conundrums. both being masquerades to hide the shadow careening down the faces of the abscent and the abscene. wretched are the bounties of the ocean, the land, man and all of nature. creation! shall we follow

  3. world is not home to as many people that live on it. too many people are living in poverty and without the things that they need to sirvive on a daily basis. i’m disgusted with the government’s “plans” to help society these days. there used to be so many BETTER programs out there…but now that bush has taken over, they’ve gone to hell.

  8. I don’t know anything about meal courses but I think dessert comes last. If life is like a multi-course meal, then that means dessert comes when we’re oldest. That doesn’t seem fair. Can’t we have dessert first, when we can really enjoy it? Or are we supposed to earn it, to work for our dessert? Is the “meat” the most important part of our lives – and dessert the froofy ending?

  9. your sierra madre lips
    run through my hair
as you see earth and eagle feathers
    floating in an unnamed river.
snagging on each other’s empty spaces
    your cliffs and my drifts
    I wonder
if you and I make we
    or would you rather stay
    the one mystery
    I never finished.

  16. “Of course I want to go with you.” He said smiling at me softly. I felt the blush rise to my cheeks. He says everything so easily, he is so purely genuine that I don’t know how to act. I am the type of person who can never seem to say what I mean, my pride always get’s in the way.
That’s why I love you, I wanted to say but instead said “Of course.”

    by B. Austin on 12.17.2008

  31. Turning the wheel, spinning round the corner, and I’m going 160. There’s sirens blaring behind me but their song isn’t one I want to hear. It’s the thrill of the race, isn’t it? Every second might be the last one of your life, because there are other cars on the road but they’re nothing more than blurs.

  35. I don’t like the word “course.” It implies work. I’d prefer to never take a “course” again. But I do see the value in the term. Each of our lives is a course, is a path. The word is multifaceted, too. Four-course-meal, of course I know what you’re talking about, a horse is a horse, of course of course. It’s a word I cannot escape, but it carries mostly academic connotations to me, so I don’t like it.
