They were relaxing in the unforgiving sun, and it made me realise where I was. I looked at my pale, almost translucent skin that made me realise I did not belong. So I slopped on some sunscreen, slipped on a t-shirt, slapped on a hat and slid on some sunscreen. My skin wasn’t designed to go bronze.

  18. The bronze statue was perched in front of the capital building, gleaming in the evening sun’s rays. It was intimidating to look at for long, but for most it was a figure of justice to who entered. Today it did nothing for the lawyer as he took each step of white marble two at a time. Today was different, it wasn’t the weather or how he had gotten to work that day, it was something more of a sense. Something was in the air, stirring up problems and mayhem. Not a good feeling for a defense attorney.

  28. There once was a time when my pale skin was painted bronze. Countless summers of being out in the sweltering heat allowed my canvas to be engraced with millions of freckles and an orange-tint. However, the older I get the more my skin becomes sensitive to the sun and its’ overbearing rays. My flesh is a milky-white. My freckles become darker on top of my ghostly frame. I look as though as I reside in the United Kingdom. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
