  2. what happened was, well, she didn’t quite know. one moment they saw the snake, the creature, the THING rising up from the mound of sand in front of them and then he was down and the snake was gone as soon as it had arrived. she was glad that, big as it was, it had decided to make only one of them its prey and spare the others instead of hanging around.

    but he was down.
and he mattered more than a hundred of the others.

  8. a bandage is a piece of material that heals a wound. or attempts to. it’s false logic cause really it’s not the bandage itself that heals the would, it’s the fact that the wound is covered and that feeling that the person feels that minimizes their movements that allows for the wound to heal. duh. don’t you know this already?

  10. Izak loves to have a band-aid when he gets hurt. There is just something about them that makes kids think they make absolutely everything better. They may make things feel better, actually, because they put a small amount of pressure on the wound, which is what a person naturally does.

  11. i couldnt believe what i just saw…my boyfriend. And he was with my best friend. You have no idea how much that hurt. Too bad i don’t have a bandage for my heart.

    then what
    what
    what

    by giselle on 01.02.2009
  15. The bandage had snoopy pictures on it, and my grandmother placed it on my leg over the cut. Blood continued to dribble out from beneath it and the line of crimson made a circle around my ankle. I was still crying, but it didn’t hurt any more, and I tasted the salty blood.

  16. around the head of a wounded soldier, it is soaked in blood. He is half conscious, despairing not of his wounds, but of his idleness. He wants to flee. He is sitting half naked on the beach as the army around him flees. There is no time. He cannot gether his thoughts.

    by Robynn on 01.02.2009

  21. pain. it hurts. life full of sorrows, life spent bleeding. A bandage to cover those wounds, a piece of cloth to show its gonna be alright. a protection to show, its gonna heal.

    by Lyonn on 01.02.2009
  22. I feel like I need one right now. This new feeling is strange – unlike any I’ve felt before. It’s like I can literally feel someones fingers prying my chest open with their fingernails, slowly tearing my torso in half down the middle. If I close my eyes I can see it, how do I make it stop though?

  23. bandage something i use to wrap my heart when broken, my emotions are encased in this mix of plastic and pads, holding together my love, my black and blue heart. she burned my love and my emotions, opeinging up to her and finding my heart needing a bandage.

  24. Bandaged like a sprained knee, Brian groaned from the other side of the hospital room. He was quite a sight, his legs raised like the arms of a joyous marionette and the only area of skin to be seen was a small rectangle, revealing two glaring, bitter eyes.

  25. It’s like some little piece of plastic can fix everything.

Glaring down at the offending cut, he gave a little sigh. This piece of plastic could fix his small cuts, but the bigger ones remained.

    The ones that really matter.

The ones that made him feel as though he was bleeding out of every ear, out of every orifice.

He was losing hope. He was bleeding misery.

  26. i think there is a song by a ska band called Bandages, and the damn thing has been in my head for the past week or two. Part of me wants to track the song down, and the other part of me says, “it’s a mustard plug tune and if it was really all that great, then you’d be listening to it already”.

    by roydrowsy on 01.02.2009
  27. Sometimes there are wounds that won’t heal. All you can do is bandage it and hope it’ll stop hurting. Sometimes they never stop hurting and all you can do is bandage it so it won’t get worse. Over time you get use it, the constant attention, the everyday ritual of bandaging the wound so it won’t get worse and it becomes common place.

  28. the child sat down next to his mother. “it’s okay, honey,” she cooed into his ear as she put on the bandage. “it’s just a boo-boo.”

  32. this helps you out when your hurt.
    it covers your boo boo.

  33. It wasn’t much of a cut…it wasn’t even much of a sprain, but her mother had dutifully wrapped it up in a bandage and grounded her from life, quite literally. She wasn’t allowed to go outside, and she wasn’t allowed to pick up her phone, but she knew that it was for a good reason.

    by Satoshi on 01.02.2009
  34. I couldn’t stop the bleeding. I tried so hard, but the bandage was just too small. Why had the dog’s jaws been so large? Why were so many intestines leaking? I had told him I wanted a Pomeranian. I guess this is his comeuppance.

  35. bandage is what you use to stop blood, puss, and help bind your wounds. I had a bandage several times in my lifetime. I am a very accident prone person and yeah. One time, I took bandages and pasted them all over my body. That was fun.

  37. It sticks like a congealed mound of pus filled cancerous cells to my skin. It pains like the removal of a cyst upon stripping its grasp from my flesh.

    by ashley on 01.02.2009
  38. Bandage.. it supposably protects you from a more epic misery.
What people are the bandages for a broken hearts?

    by taylor tucker on 01.02.2009
  39. I hope that I never get hurt to the point that I end up in the hospital. It’s not that I don’t want to be in pain, but I don’t want to miss that much of my life. I think that if I were to do that, I would never catch back up. Does that make me a bad person? I can’t think of what would be worse- ending up in the hospital or seeing someone else there… I don’t know…
