  1. The tearing, ripping feeling engulfed my whole existence. That which protected me, that which I believed kept me safe, instead caused me immeasurable pain. It hurt, but it also set me free.

    by Max on 01.02.2009
  2. doesn’t really ease your pain, it just covers it up. It lets other’s know you’ve been hurting, thus inducing sympathy while allowing you to stay humble because everybody else thinks it’s a big deal.

    by Briana on 01.02.2009
  3. In the office where I work there are two bandages to choose from. Either sponge bob or barbie. I judge people based on what kind of bandage they take. I don’t favor one or the other, I just enjoy judging people.

  4. i poured the neosporin onto my open and red wound. Peeled the sides off off the bandage that was soon to cover it. I thought about what would happen if i let it keep bleeding. What if we all kept bleeding?

    by Shannon on 01.02.2009
  5. This bandage that catches my blood and tears, left me feeling everything that surrounds you the passion, and the memory of you. These skinned knees from praying to hard, waiting for some angel to save my soul. But this blackness seeps into the floor. This bandage is nothing but a quick fix, another wall to climb. To shed more skin and wonder whats next. This life isnt all its cracked up to be, unless I pull the blinds back to let the sun come in. These shades weigh a ton and my strength is like a sinking hole. Ill rip this band aid off and let the blood flow, I know Im alive as it stains my clothes.

    by Nikki on 01.02.2009

  7. When we were teenagers and young adults and, oh who am I kidding, just last year, we used this common bathroom accessory as a metaphor for ourselves when our relationships failed. “He needed me but now he doesn’t. He tore me off like a used bandage.” Oh, the angst of self-imposed responsibility.

  8. I think of getting myself healed. Not only does that have to do with physical things but i experience it when i’m trying to fix emotional problems like with words or actions or food can be my bandage. 12. “You can’t just put a bandage on a relationship and expect it to heal,” she said. I knew that too well. I wasn’t taking this lightly at all, and my heart shivered with the guilt, suffering, and anguish I felt all day long. Breaking up with someone is never easy, especially when it’s your first, and it’s a relationship you’ve held dearly to for years. I like to think we both got something out of it, and matured greatly, but it will take much more time and much more than a bandage to let it all heal up and the tears to fade away.

  13. Your wounds. Suck it up. What’s your fucking problem anyways?

  19. Bandage my broken body. Sigh… I could use a bandage of that size right about now. If not that then one good enough to stop my bleeding heart from giving way. Why does it hurt so much every time?

  20. One day as I sat with a friend in the local bar, I dropped a glass causing shards of glass to fly everywhere. The second everyone had subdued from the shock of the noise, they realized I had needed a bandage for the huge gash in my foot.

  21. the last bandage i put on my finger was a covering for a silly mistake, on a day that i certainly wasn’t happy with so far… cut your finger open with a knife you’ve been using to slice onions & lemons, and you’ll understand my frustration. I didn’t want to be running that damn salad bar today, in the first damn place! My knife skills suck, and i know it… then, Martin mas to sneak up behind me with the big skillet and reach over my head with no warning, to hang it up… you’re damn right i’m going to jump a little. And i managed to slice my finger open too.

  22. The bandage that fell off of his thigh when he ran across the street could have been a jackson pollack painting of blood. His wound, still fresh, burned as it came into contact of the cool autumn day. He tried to slap the bandage back into place, but was too late, and ended up slapping his wound as he ran

  29. a bandage is a very useful tool. It can help with any injury or wound, that is unless it is a burn. You want to be very careful with bandages when you get a burn. If you wrap the bandage too tightly than you will take the skin up with it when you remove said bandage. Bandage’s are truly remarkable things, but in general this is a very strange statement.

  39. The bandage was tightly wrapped around his bleeding knee. He could hear the gunfire around him, could feel the hard earth under his calloused hands, but he didn’t care. He looked up at his savior’s face, a war-hardened medic, anonymous to everyone.

    “Thanks,” he muttered.

    “No problem.”

  40. i have bandaids and many issues with the sterile as they say on the package, by the time I open and put on they are fingered all over and there is nothing sterile about a bandage. Bandages save lives and they are good, they are necessary and they are worth all we do with them.
