  1. I assume that they’ll listen, but they don’t. How frustrating. It seems I need to change my assumptions and expectations to have things travel more smoothly.

    I assume that green line up there tells me how much longer I can type. I think I like this site. I think I will have a lot of fun coming back here soon.

    It turned orange. How interesting. This is a very fun mind game. I feel like I can’t type fast enough.

  3. Ah, the devilish word, assume. It’s a horrible verb because it is based on hunches and guestimation. It can offend people, especially if they are not very good at assuming.

Assumptions are the rocks of thought. Make sure they are rock-hard before you proceed to the shoals!

  35. Many people will tell you that to assume makes an ass of you and me. Yet, under most circumstances this is not the case. We make important assumptions all the time. Let’s take for example when a person assumes that food is bad, a fellow employee is taking some controlled substance, or or parent is ill. First, bad food can kill. It is best to be safe than sorry. Next is the idea that person taking drugs is fine. This is worth investigating. Last, if a parent is ill, taking them to the hospital can be a matter of life and death. It is time to go to work and make important assumptions.

  38. Assume. such an ugly word. We all do it and most try not to. But at the end of the day we all assume things and end up making fools of ourselves and others. One day people might learn not to but I doubt that day is any time soon if ever. Oh well.
