thermometer
"It's so hot..." I couldn't stand the heat these days. After a month of rain and clouds, the sun finally showed up and took pleasure in cooking me. So I hid at home, staring at the thermometer, waiting for it to cool down. "Curse you."
sleeved
No matter how lonely I was, this sweater would always remind me of you. I just had to warp the sleeves around my waist to feel you beside me, warming my heart.
flee
The evil government people had caught me again. I was lucky they were too stupid to guard me properly. I still had that tiny bomb in my pocket. When the guard left, I made it explode. I could see the ocean through the destroyed wall of my cell. The alarm rang, the guards were back and would probably kill me. I laughed at them and tried my luck with the ocean. Freedom was worth every risk.
undetected
The nasty virus laughed when he got in the computer. He wanted to control the world and he would do so by spreading on the internet. Nothing would stop him if he stayed undecteted.
grasped
He was leaving me. After the night we had spent together, I thought he would stay. But he was leaving the bed like a coward, thinking I wouldn't notice it. I grasped his hand to make him stay, but he shook it off. Our story was over before it even began.
fatigue
Whenever I come home from college, I'm so tired I can't a single thing. My limbs can't move. My mind can't think. I still have plenty of things to do, but my body won't obey me.
willed
He rejected me again. I really want to help him but he always refuses. I love him, even if he keeps breaking my heart. That's why I'll never stop trying to help him. My will is as strong as my love for him.
substances
As I laid dying in my bathroom, I really wished I never started taking those abused substances. All I wanted was to dream with my eyes opened, in this dark and brutal world. But now that this living dream was ending, I realized dreaming with my eyes closed would have been enough. Living a long life would have brought me enough nights to have more than my share of dreams.
