She was alone in the department store, eyes wide, lower lip atremble. Her worst fear - being left behind - realized.
wrinkled, old hands stroke the chair back. time stands still. she doesn't want to know what the nurse's chart will tell. she can wait. she can always wait. everyone makes her wait. patiently.
