  2. Worshiping means a lot to me, even though I don’t really usually call it worshiping. I willingly attend church every single Sunday, and I am glad of it. I have a firm testimony of Christ and everything to do with him.

  3. i used to worship god… at least i thought i was. i was very young, didn’t even know there were other options.
    then, i started reading. i became more of a worshipper of the earth.. the fairies.. magic found in the morning dew and fresh green leaves.
    i left church. i read more.
    my worpship turned to knowledge itself.. great scientists and philosophers.
    this is where i stand now.

  4. Just breathe. For a second. A moment. A little gasp that lets the big man upstairs know you’re still alive. He needs to know it, to feel it. You are a piece of him, after all. Tiny slice of his DNA multiplied and spread across the planet. One of his many cells that he might only notice once it stops saying hello.

  5. god is a powerful presence in so many lives. just to see people with such a strong belief in him makes me feel it. perhaps one day i can show others that strong belief. it makes you human, yet at the same time it makes you something so much more.

  6. I went to church yesterday for the first time in almost four years. Christmas has always been a time of mixed emotions for me. Nostalgia for time spent with aunts, uncles, grandparents, and far flung relatives. I worshiped with the best, although I’m no believer.

  7. hmmm worship? why do people worship gods or deities? why do people preach to other people? i don’t know. i used to go to church, not anymore, i consider myself bright, not necessarily atheist but definetly not religious.

  17. i love to worship the lord. god this reminds me of school so much. i love how thats the first thing that comes to mind “i love to worship the lord” as if it were drilled into my mind since i was a toddler. oh what catholic school does to you… the sad part is that i do love to worship the lord and now it means nothing to say that because its just an automatic response. so do i really love it? or am i just conditioned to think i do?

  18. If you worship just one thing, how can you appreciate all the other things out there that deserve your attention? The mountain is just as beautiful as the cross and infinitely more steadfast.

    Just pick your head up every once in a while.

  19. They say we’re supposed to worship God, and be grateful for everything he’s done for us. I suppose. I am grateful for all the wonderful things in my life. But worship? I don’t worship anything or anyone. My gratitude is enough.

  21. I worship because I am told to. I need to grow into what it means. I feel a sense of guilt if I do not worship. Although, at the same time, worship can be a very refreshing thing. It can be a spiritual shower, cleansing you, helping to aid you in understanding why it is that you are worshiping.

  22. i worship my life and who i feel like worshiping. There is no god in my world, my world is a world of peace and of love, where the wildflowers sing us songs in the basking moonlight and the morn greets us with it’s sweet dew that we soak up into our bodies, the sunlight and it’s products are the only nourishment we need.

  26. Worship can be done in many different ways. It can be through singing, reading the bible, praying, or just talking to God. Of course there are people who choose to worship other things like themselves, money, celebrities, or any other number of objects.

  30. and in him, we find everything;
    we find life and we find faith
    in midnights that never seem to come to a distinct sunrise
    and without him we fall into pits of
    war and ache and
    heartbreak worlds.
    in worship and warships
    steadfast we can find our
    God
    with open arms and words of
    advice;

    (but only the blind trust what they can’t see.)

  35. Who do we worship? Some worship god. Some worship lovers. Others worship ideas.

    But we are humans, damnit. What is deserving of our worship? Everything is flawed. Everything fades.

    In the end, how can we give worship to something no greater than ourselves, when nothing is? That is why the term is attributed to God.

  38. I don’t really like the idea of worship, actually. I mean, there’s always some level of falsehood when you place an ideal above yourself. I know that realism is in essence a fairytale people tell themselves to feel good, but because we can’t opperate under that assumption, we should all try to keep things down to earth and understandable.
