  1. My, how long has it been? since you showed some compassion, some charity towards me? I question whether you ever showed those traits to me, even in the beginning of our relationship. The steely glaze in your eyes betray your true feelings, and charitable thoughts are glaringly missing.

  2. ‘Charity!’
I turned my head as I heard my name being called.
‘Charity! There you are! We’ve been searching for so long! Where were you?’
‘Right here.’ I calmly replied. Staring into the vast ocean, trying to figure out where the sky meets the water.
    ‘What are you doing here?’
    I had no answer.
I just stood there. My feet slowly sinking into the sand.
‘Come, let’s go home.’ He said, pulling my arm.
I shook his hand off me and continued staring silently. Hoping that I would completely sink into the sand. So I could lie with the seashells, and one day, find my way back to the sea.

  5. Giving to others without expecting anything in return. Love. Compassion. Helping strangers. It starts at home. Upliftment. Giving freely without selfish considerations. Making the world a better place. Improvement. Help. Good.

  6. “The whole world joining hands” emblazoned across his uniform’s insignia, the fault lines of his brow scoured in repose, his hands, clutching the manifesto of the men who sent him here, all seemed to ebb away. He had not got what he wanted, though he came for a good cause. His charity had clearly brought him a means to an end, perhaps in part, paid for by his own admission. For here he was. Here he lay now, gazing at the sky, breath short, eyes wide, a bullet in his chest, and chaos at his feet. Slowly ebbing away.

  7. She never felt like charity was the answer to the problem. It felt like all they were ever doing was giving hand outs instead of hand ups. There was a bigger problem and know one wanted to look at it. She could see clearly, she heard the voices of the homeless and helpless left on the fringes. She had been there, maybe not physically but mentally and spiritually she knew what it was like to be with out, lost, hungry, lonely and scared. Food will go away what else could they collectively do to help?

  8. You come and go with the passing tides
And rise and fall of light.
I do not want this gift from you,
    Take it from my sight.

Pity is not the end of my chase,
I have yet to start this race.

  9. She was worth it – worth everything. I have no regrets to this day – I loved her, and perhaps I still do.
And I know that nothing is all I have left, but nothing is all I need.

  10. Charity begins at home – be charitable to your family & neighbors. Prepare meals for their enjoyment & nourishment, be helpful & sociable with your neighbors.

  11. “Is that what I am to you? Charity?!” Spittle flew from his mouth.

She was startled by his anger but dared not respond. He was most dangerous when he yelled like this. Angry, but not being loud.

He stepped closer, his fetid breath washing over her face.

“Well?” He said, his eyes hot embers of fury.

  12. Charity organisations have come to stay. Today, there are a thousand and one of such organisations around the world providing succour to people from less developed and challenging countries. To this, I want to commend all charity organisations outhere who are truely doing the charity work. There has been cases of some organisations like that are but just to enrich themselves.
