  7. Wealth. What does it mean? Is it the riches he spent his entire life trying to amass? All the land that was never cultivated? The cows that never produced milk because they were so stressed? Is it the large car that caused multiple accidents? Or the wife that killed him because of all these things?

    But, i believe that wealth makes many people selfish, and greedy.

    Everyone always wants more money, and they lose track of the important things in life.

  10. Wealth is a funny thing. It can make people momentarily happy, or it can cause a lifetime of pain. Or wealth can be used to describe something different, like having wealth in happiness. And that is something I lack.

  29. not enough time to make what you need. you’ve got a basement but not a panic room. you always meant to get one in but you put it off and now they’re coming. you could have afforded to make yourself safe. now if you survive your wealth will mean nothing.

    The Power Ball drawing was 348 days ago, the largest pot in the tri-state area. No one had yet come forward to claim the big check, the wealth. At 366 days, the ticket was worthless.
    A smile spread across his face. He still had time. Moments to savor his shitty lot in his current life.
    He looked at the Bible on the nightstand, licked his lips. His winning ticket was tucked in it, slid safely into Ecclesiastes.
