  4. i don’t quite know why i am writing about the word wander. all i can think of is the famous phrase ‘not all those who wander are lost.’ i wish that applied to my own life. it seems like i am always lost, but not even aware of my wandering. maybe we all need to embrace a sense of wandering in our lives. maybe when we wander, we find ourselves closer to where we were meant to be.

  29. I wander hopelessly through the empty hallways, listening closely for any sign of an escape. But all the sound that my puny ears could detect, was the deafening pitter-patter of my heart in my chest. What was it about this place that scared me so much? Was it the knowledge that an escape was inevitable, or the fact that I would be alone for eternity? I ignored the feeling of dread that rose in my throat, and pressed on, wandering the ever-changing corridor, until my time finally ran out…..

  37. We sometimes forget to look at our feet when we wander. That’s because the importance is not where we are going, but the fact that we are using our own two feet to get there.

  38. Are we lost? I find that I sometimes lose my sense of place and balance, whether in life or in a physical sense. But don’t you think it’s fun to let yourself go once in a while, and walk with your head in the clouds?

  39. I’m not the type of person to tell you how to live your life but please, just listen. I want you to go out and explore and wander and experience life as much as you possibly can before it’s too late. I would love more than anything to tell you it’s the most wonderful thing, but it’s not. It hurts to find out how cruel the world is and how people really don’t care if you’re okay or not. But for every bad thing that happens to you, I promise something amazing will happen. You may not realize it at the time but it does and sooner or later, you will appreciate it. You learn and you grow as a person and that’s all we really can do. Just remember, we’re all going to die one day and what you learn now will help you to survive. Because that’s what it comes down to: survival of the fittest. I am trying to teach you to be the best you can be in a world where there’s not much to be happy about. As you go through this life that you will live, please remember the person that you are and that you want to be. I’m not talking about your name, everyone has a name. I’m talking about the person that only you know you are because in the end, that’s all that really matters. And please, when you’re laying in bed at night, please be at peace with your mistakes. If you are the very few that aren’t, then learn to be at peace with them because if you can’t, then you never really survived at all, did you?
