  6. I threw the ball as far as my aching arms allowed me. It was simply brilliant. My mind blazed with sarcastic words. That throw was simply amazing. I fell to the ground and grovelled and weeped. The day was done as the throw was made. The sky turned purple and the ground swallowed me in the shallow love of the world.

  11. Tossing one’s cookies is a delicate task, especially if you haven’t eaten them. Let’s say you have too much to drink and need to call God on the big white phone…make sure you’re close to the rim or you’ll be sure to splash your own legs.

  12. Throw it away. Everyone always tossing garbage out. Don’t they realize that that’s something the earth can never get back. When you throw something away, it’s gone. I don’t know, to me, that’s a scary thought. I try to keep it to a minimum. It’s scary that our society has sunk to such a low that it’s actually difficult not to take material away from the earth forever.

  14. i threw up. i hurled. i couldn’t help it, the car was moving and all that disgusting pinky red tomato sauce from the 13 dollar lunch was swashing around in my stomach. i hurled all over my dad’s car. all over my black velvet dress with the white silk collar. i even had good enough aim to splatter some on a nearby tree. it was disgustingly sick. I was upset.

    by Julia on 09.05.2008
  15. throw out that garbage. What are you waiting for? I don’t see how it’s going to do you any good to hang onto it, to adore it, to love it. It’s useless, why can’t you see that? You’re so stubborn. I don’t understand you. Goodbye.

  18. I throw you
    away
    like yesterday’s news
    something i had once
    That I owned and abused

    Nothing to me
    you never were
    never loved,
    never cried for
    not a care for you
    in this world

    I’ll kiss you goodbye
    then shower
    to get your smell gone!
    If you don’t know
    I don’t care
    then you don’t know
    me at all!

  19. Sometimes one throws balls of various shapes and sizes. Usually it’s part of a game. There’s a car alarm going outside: I want to throw a brick out the window and stop it. Throwing is something that is a verb. To throw means to pick something up in one’s hand and toss it, though that doesn’t make you a tosser. Have you ever thought about how long 60 seconds is? Done.

That memory was brought back to me the other day at work when I saw this little kid skipping rocks at the Wetlands in the zoo. I felt a little bit pathetic, because this, like, 7 year old could do it and I still couldn’t.
