Dusty, behind the refrigerator. It’s the last place I ever look, when cleaning the kitchen, and sometimes I never look at all. One day, the refrigerator stopped working, and I pulled it away from the wall, to find months and months of dust bunnies, dog hair, old dried crumbs of meals past. I decided to sweep.
What a boring word.
All i can think of is a broom and wood floor.

Sweeping things under the rug. Into the corners. Out of the sunlight and into the hungry, crouching shadows. They wait like that, thirsting for secrets and regrets, wanting to swallow them whole, consume them all, leaving nothing for us to redeem ourselves.
As much as Snow White was startled by the seven dwarfs cozy little cottage that she had just discovered she felt it was just as important to clean it up as well. She began to sweep and sweep and mop and mop and if whistle while she worked.
One way to deal with bad things is to sweep it under the blanket. This means to sleep more when you are stressed or unhappy and woke up in a refreshed state.
My eyes sweet across the room to find your empty gaze. Static and emotionless your walking in a haze. Everything feels so far away your not sure if you’l ever feel like home again. Where do I go from here, my life slowly being swept away.

OK i dont sweep and i havent in about 3 years. I vacuum. Yes. vacuuming is sweeping for lazy people but why the fuck not. If you have the tools, why wouldn’t you utilize them? I felt guilty about this for a long time but then I just realized it was my Catholicism at work. Go robots
