  1. the sting on my son’s shoes are so dirty! I need to get them off the shoe and wash them. OR should I just buy new ones. when will I find a moment when he’s not wearing them? I don’t know. I hope that when I get to wash them they come clean. There are so many cute shoestrings out there these days. would he enjoy new ones? maybe just new shoes. I think that I will go shopping with him after all and get new shoes with nice white strings attached! yeah!

  7. isn’t it too far to go? Irrelevant when you look at it but very binding I suppose. Stay away from the factory. Every single kid over there is evil shooting things without at least a parental consent form. Fucking paedophiles. Maniacal disestablishment fools careening without any form of rage. This is despicable. I don’t think anyone here has the happy

  17. String is long. Usually white. Tooth floss is a kind of string. I sometimes forget to throw it out and it just lies there. I don’t like it when string frays. It gets really messy. String is pretty useful. You can tie people up with it. Not that I would. Depends I guess. I can’t really think of any other uses for string. Metaphoric string is better.

  20. string a sentence together and you got a soundbite, kid, the public ain’t worth wasting valuable brain space over.

that’s what he told me, the day I first turned up to work at Truth Incorporated, and it turned out to be good advice. In ten years, I never spent more than a minute thinking up slogans, and every time the fools that make up the great british public bought it hook line and sinker…

  21. i have a series of books called travel on a shoe string budget but i dont think i ll ever really go to those place but writing this makes me sad. why not go to these places? what else do i have to do. and what is cheaper than a shoestring? nothing much. unless its 2 shoestrings.
i need to travel more because if not i will go a bit insane and it always makes me appreciate what i’ve got here. what i really need is living on a shoestring budget because i have become somewhat poor which is prob why i dont travel.

  22. how long is a piece of string?
you can use it to tie things up, personally I would prefer to tie up little animals and watch them squirm. Actually not true, I’d rather tie up my girlfriend.

You can use scissors to cut it (the string, not the girlfriend) and it’s really useful in, say, making toy mice, as It functions well as a tail.

Usually white, although I have seen variations, for example in red, black, and yellow. Never green though.

Know where I can get green string??

  30. when we were born thinking that there is a possibility of freedom; the strings start to surround us helping us move the way it guides us. The string is not just a word but also a symbol of how we can or in other words can’t choose the way we desire to go. Being attached can be a relief for some but the truth is that this is just an illusion of safety…

  32. seems to me that string theory has never really panned out. i mean, maybe it has and i don’t know about it–i’m no math guy. but i hear about all the wonders it’s supposed to have led to by now, and none of them has been seen. so? so must a wonder be seen to be one? unicorns? unicorn theory? well, see, that’s the thing–maybe it’s not necessarily a “theory,” but is rather a “myth.” so there’s nothing wrong with that.
