  4. string is a great word because there are a lot of associated meanings. for one, the string theory is a very prevalent theory in current astronomical fields. i don’t know the specifics – i am certainly no expert – but it deals with the very fabric of the universe. certainly fascinating stuff if you ask me. another use of the word string is a metaphorical one. one might say that human beings are just beautifully crafted fabrics made with string.

  6. Strings are the latest theories that are coming into the physics realm now days. String theory is the first thing that comes to my mind as i see the word. It believes that every particle, even the tiniest of electrons are made of strings that are the energy carriers in everything. They believe that 27 dimensions exist in this world and string theory makes it clear to see.

  9. String is a very interesting implement you can use it almost anywhere like you can use it for sewing and tieing knots and connecting other things together you can find it on a boat and in a house and school :P Lots of places.

  20. I can’t believe how much string is in my Aunt Maude’s kitchen drawer. Every piece is too small to use for anything, yet it’s apparently too long to throw away. I would love to be there when the drawer is finally full at last! Will she throw anything away?

  32. When I first entered Chinese school the best thing about going there was getting coupons that we could trade in for prizes when we’d reached a certain number. And the first prize that I ever chose was a bright green yo-yo whose string got tangled up in my fingers the first time I tried to play with it, so I tossed it in a drawer and haven’t touched it since.

It started jumping up and down, waving more and more frantically. What could it possibly want? Didn’t it see I was comfortable where I was, on my couch, sipping a mimosa. The thing stopped jumping and took off as my cat, Mimzy, pounced after it.
