i shift fromtopic to topic as i speak with people. sotimes i think of myself as an overactive imaginator but the truth is that im simply bored with my life. these daydreams are my own way of controlling my life.
I pressed the key on the keyboard. Shift. It’s such a simple key, but you know, it’s done a lot for people over the years. Shift helps you start sentences, capitalize names, make proper nouns. Proper nouns are important to the English language because without them, some sentences wouldn’t make sense. For example, Pulp Fiction is clearly the name of a movie, but pulp fiction could be a book about oranges.
i worked a shift at tim hortons one time and i threw up everywhere kristyn avella was there, i miss kristyn avella :( she died on january 3rd last year, weird… 1 yewar ago today… that makes me sad sad sad sad sad sad sad mind is blank i wish i could look at david’s conversation that makes me sad too… poor david boohoo where’s paula… at the movies with her dad watching avatar i wonder if it’s any good i hear it was and that some

it is the wondeful thing that turns on sticky keys after pressing it 5 times…

I hit the key as hard as a could but it was still sticky. Damn apple juice! I punched it like a wack-a-mole but nothing worked. Finally I was so frustrated I swiped the keyboard off the desk along with everything else in the way. Papers flutted to the floor.
As I shift from one position to another I think about all the different changes in my life. From being a young boy to a man. Where did the time go. I’m now at an age where the world is in my cusp. I need to shift my thoughts from being a boy to a man.
Shifts are often associated with a work schedule. I don’t work in shifts because I am a freelance writer. Last time I worked in a shift-type situation was in highschool when I worked as a carhop at a Sonic Drive-Thru. I work skates…and spilled many-a-milkshake.
Shifty eyes. A shift of the shadow on the wall. A shift that is a garment–isn’t there one? Time shift–on the job for a portion of time. A shift of perspective.
There was a polar shift
And the world moved beneath her
