Married since time began, inseperable… too much like the sun and moon… they cannot be without one another, and yet cannot seem to agree on anything… the old married couple… in their 90’s… married forever… since before we remember… since before everything else… plus and minus, they fight and fight, and yes…

    a flip side,
    a better dawn to break above our heads;

    there is a split in the grey monotony
    where light streaks into us;

    creeping, creeping,

    giving us something we thought we lost.

    there is something more.
    something to be added to life.

  19. Addition. There it was staring at her. The numbers swam back and forth, shifting and changing places. Man, dyslexia was a bitch.

    by Rob on 05.26.2008
  20. Addition is a subject dreaded by most kindergarteners and grade school children. Simply the thought of adding three-digit numbers astounds them to no end.

    Little do we know that high school students and adults forget the meaning of plus as well. Addition involved two addends and a sum.

    What people don’t know is that it also applied to life, this magical equation.

    by Joseph Orano on 05.26.2008
  21. Oh the surplus, not just tits, not just violence, oh the surplus. We don’t have it, but that doesn’t mean we won’t spend it. Here, use this hundo to snort this blow, pump this oil in your veins with this here free* syringe, and don’t forget to live the American dream.

  24. Plus is a sign, it’s addition. Adding something to your life. Reading green pages, covers, front and back. Calculate what you get, not what you’re losing. Unfortunately, it’s not always right. Sometimes you might not want it. I know I don’t. Plus, sounds like plush.

  30. Why can’t everything be as easy as adding? Maybe its the harder something is or the more complicated the more fulfilling it is. Relationships are hard. But when you figure one out, its rewarding. If only you could get that feeling from adding 2 plus 2. The world would be a better place.

    by Daniel on 05.25.2008

  33. Addition, things seem to be adding, with a plus. piling up over time but relief never comes soon enough, there isn’t a minus in site anywhere. Only rows and columns of plus’. It surely doesn’t look like we are going to get a break anytime soon. Plus’ are all that is in store of us, in this world, in our society. No more breaks.

    by Taylor on 05.25.2008
  34. it means to add. something extra. A plus is a good thing, in addition to the norm. It can mean big size or it can mean you’ve done something extra good, better than average. It can mean that you should lose weight too. Might mean a visit to the big girls shop for fatter ladies. ON the other hand, it is better to have more than less. Less is not always more, in fact to be a plus in anything in this world is an advantage. Don’t let it get you down to be told you are a plus. It’s fine to multiply also, that can be 2 plus 2 equals 4 or it could equal 5 depending on your mood. Plus can also be slup back to front though that’s not actually a word as such. puls also is not a word, just an anagram. Well, there must be magazines in the world that talk about being a plus in anything really intellect, clothes, size, house, salary, could be that you have more than most in any category, and that’s quite a good thing. I wonder when time is up or do I have to stop slabbering on here…..do I get a plus or a minus?

    by anna on 05.25.2008
  35. plus is positive someone loves you because you possess something that is unique and have many qualities that are lovely and wonderful many pluses come about from those who are truly nice and caring i’m watching american idol and someone has just won, which for them i’m sure is a massive plus.

  37. you and me go together somewhat not all the time maybe not at all, i love you though, i think, in my own way but possibly not, i often think only of myself PLUS someone else PLUS something else, never myself mixed in, fused with, another, another thing, everything. I am far too focused on what can easily be subtracted and I wonder if everyone writes about ‘plus’ in terms of math and coupling. Maybe it means something else.

  39. MORE!MORE!MORE! More of everything is today’s society motto. We want more, faster than ever and hopefully for less. People are bigger. Food portions are bigger, families are bigger and expectations are bigger. We have what we want, need…PLUS whatever we can grab and put into our greedy pockets.
