my passport could have easily been the only thing i had with me. but it wasn’t. on my right shoulder i carried an old worn down red bag. there were no labels on it when i picked it up from that big old salvation army back in ninety-nine. and the bag wasn’t empty as it rested on my shoulder, either.

I need to get a passport if I am going to go to Mexico with my husband for our anniversary. We want to go on a cruise, and I think we need one. I used to have a passport, but it has long since expired. I took it with me to Chile, and to Canada. It was during high school. I had fun!
