  7. Offer. One of those words that means a lot, but you don’t really pay a lot of attention to. You offer to help someone, you submit an offer on a house. Offer is a strange, but very meaningful word. Offer… Now it makes me think…

    by Krmy on 05.13.2009
  8. Offer is one of those words on my phone that always comes out wrong. I try to type ‘needs’ and all I get is offer. Duh I don’t think your design ‘offer more help.’ It NEEDS more help. T9 should really learn to get with it. Maybe there should be a telepathic ability where the phone just knows what we’re thinking. Come on, this is the 2000’s isn’t it?

    by Rebbie on 05.13.2009
  9. I have an offer for you. How about this. I’ll make you a deal. If you shave my toes I’ll do your laudry for ten weeks. That’s not good enough for you? I’ll through in a sleeping bag for free. I knew you’d like that idea. An offer….

  21. Offer? What sort of word is that to write about?!

Offering things to people is great, as long as it’s not drugs or something bad like that. I think it links into being charitable, and that’s good, more people should do that!

You can make offers on houses! Yes you can! I probably won’t be doing that for a few years though… I need my degree and a job, then I’ll get a mansion! Woo, then I’ll offer people canapes when they come round.

    by Daniel Knight on 05.13.2009
  22. He offered me a bite of the apple he held in his hand. I nodded, taking the bright crimson fruit from his palm, admiring the sheen of the fruit’s exterior in the dull light of the sun weaving through the leaves of the tree above us. My teeth sunk into the tender flesh, bringing forth an onslaught of sweet juice as I tore a chunk from the apple and chewed it contemplatively, handing him back his snack.

    by Kurekitsune on 05.13.2009
  23. I try to offer things to people, but I feel like the only people that offer things to me are my parents.

My parents pay for my food, my place of living, anything I need while I’m attending school.

I’ve given one of my friends over $2000 in gas/food/bills/general help in the past two years. That’s 3 months of living expenses for me, and I’m wondering if I should’ve done it.

  24. Offer me your hand,
    dissolve me into sand,
for love is neither small nor grand,
    for time will wither
    throughout the land.
    Offer me your hand,
    I’ve never wanted more.
    Offer me your love,
    a kind like none before.

  26. The imagination soars with the ideas of what could be offered. Life itself is offered. As we exist, our brains accept the offers of information, of love, of people.

    by Erin Loraditch on 05.13.2009
  27. when i get an offer i ponder about it very long. then i usually accept

  28. give me one so that i can accept. always say yes. that’s the rule of all drama and theater and improv. always say yes to any situation that is presented to you so that you can keep the situation going. i learned this with mr.canzoneri in his drama class. my very first. he was my shakespeare professor and i’ll never forget that because now i absolutely love theater, and acting, and well, shakeaspeare. and it was all thanks to him.

    by steven on 05.13.2009
  31. All I have to offer is all the love I have to give. My heart, my soul, my way of life is all made possible because of you. Because of what YOU had to offer. Because of all of your hard work and dedication. A dedication I wish to have for the rest of my life. To better myself. To be half the woman you have shown me to be. To be half the mother you always have been.

    by Kathleen on 05.13.2009
  32. Commercialised attempt at making you think you’re getting value for money.

Either that or an attempt at reconciliation by somebody you’d rather tell to fuck off, but unfortunately you have to work with them.

    by James Labous on 05.13.2009
  33. The offer was clear and concise. I took it, not thinking, not even breathing for a second.

Now, with the benefit of hindsight, I don’t know if I made the right decision.

    by R on 05.13.2009
  34. Offer me what? Something I am unwilling to accept, not a prize, not a vision. I am unable to accept or understand your idea of an offer. It appears less than generous yet, it is the greatest gift of all. What am I to do with such a thing that I desire for you to have more than anything else.

    by Joe on 05.13.2009
  35. like an offering, a gift a tribute, a kindness, generosity. to lend to someone in need, or possibly an offering, like a sacrifice to an ancient god. good and bad connotations.

  36. I cut out my heart, and let it bleed in my hands.
I offered it to you, and you quickly turned it down.

Now I’m sitting here, left without a heart, and bleeding out the words that I’d saved for you.

But now I’ve no one to give them to, not a soul to listen.
So I’ll stay here in my room, and think of you.

    by Scarlet on 05.13.2009
  37. When you offer yourself up to people in moments, you’re being as brave as you can be. People will either like what you’re putting out, or not, but it’s not really important what they think of you, so much as that you’re offering yourself up period. If we all tried to live our lives as open and naked to the world’s cruelty as possible, the world would be better. There would be more offered, so more to recieve.

    by Victoria on 05.13.2009
