  3. This word is commonly mispronounced in America, which is a subject that causes me great distress. I constantly correct people on it.
    But, past that, to the word itself, nuclear can mean the production of energy, or the destruction of countries. It depends on the context. It’s a versatile word, to be sure.

  12. I went nuclear when my daughter got the truck stuck yesterday. Not just because of that, but I had broken a bone in my foot, and they agreed to let me go home early, so I call her and she gets stuck!! Not a wise response, coz she got it stuck again as soon as she got out.

  21. When I was walking past the nuclear power plant, I noticed something was a little off with my coffee. That’s strange! There’s never anything wrong with it!

    I opened my bulletproof thermos made out of the trunk of a tree felled by lightning, and noticed that the coffee was dancing about in a way that it normally never does! I was terrified!

    Then I realized the momentum of me walking is what did it. I was less scared.

  34. Nuclear. My husband goes off and get really angry when people mispronounce this word. I think it’s the only word that when mispronounced grates his nerves. I have a few words like that but nuclear isn’t one of them. I wonder what other people think of words that are mispronounced.

  36. Nuclear division, nuclear envelopes. My life somehow revolves around this tiny and tremendous organelles these days. The complexity of the nucleus is astonishing. This tiny little 9 nm in diameter thing is in control of your body in ways that you can never truely comprehend.
