What does it mean by mute? Am I supposed to mute myself? Is it asking me to mute my stereo or my neighbor? Or my neighbor’s dog? That would be a really neat muting exercise. If anyone could mute those dogs I’d love them. I have a mute button on my keyboard but I don’t think I’ve used it more than twice.

Not being able to speak was always hard for me. It was frustrating, when people couldn’t understand sign language out of my own community, so when I was shipped off to a place where everyone was the same, where no one could talk, I was excited at first. Everyone would be the same.

this is what i’ve been doing to music a lot lately, it seems. I guess it’s good that I’ve stopped ignoring the people in my life…I was really good at that at one point – and I like it. Being social is freakin awesome.
