You remember that speech that has “Give me liberty or give me death”? Well thats one thing i know of for the word liberty. I’m not sure of what else i should write for it.
When I think of the word liberty I think of the Liberty bell. When I think of the Liberty bell I think of brass rust and a crack. Thats what I think of liberty.
What is my liberty? I am free to break the confines in which I was born and earn more liberty than the law allows. That’s what I’m talking about. Money and Power pays for liberty. The liberty of the poor is to continue to wallow in poor ways. The wealthy can just do anything.
i think we all don’t know what this word really means. We’ve created this idea, but we don’t even know what is. If we did, then we should have been able to use it to it’s full capacity. And in turn, we would be a much better world to live in. So, what is the use of comind up with these ideas? Answer: Because in some small form, we are able to use it for the good.
Sarah inhaled deeply, tossed her long blonde hair back over her shoulders, and smiled. This was freedom. Freedom from abuse, from pain, from suffering. But she knew this freedom had a great price: the loss of her friends, the Hunters. Would this price be too high to pay? Perhaps. But she had to find out.
There is a place in the world where liberty’s bell rings high above the throngs and masses who swarm, and rise, and fall with evening’s shade. There is a place in the heart of men where liberty is not to be found, where the crowd’s mocking voice shuns it, until it comes from on high with the brushing wind of the comforter sent by God.
“I am not at liberty to tell you that,” the man sad. He was a smoky guard, he guarded the forests from people so that the forests wouldn’t get set on fire. A long time ago in the 21st century the people burned forests down. Recently (48th century), the Smoky Guard Foundation was founded to protect forests from fires.
It’s all I want, when I wake up. I have it already but it’s just beyond me. My brain stands in the way. So I’m captive still, for a bit longer. Usually by afternoon I’m free and life is easier again. Until the next morning.
liberty is what lets us get up in the morning and no that we are free. every morning we stand and say the line in the pledge,”liberty and justice for all.” the statue of liberty shows every single person that we have liberty.!
You’ve never heard of the Statue of Liberty? Really? What planet are you from? I can accept the planets and the greek letters, but the Statue of Liberty? It’s huge! Hard to miss! You never looked up at it, wondered what the hell it was? You’re crazy.
My favorite time of day, quitting time! The freedom of walking out that door and getting my car, dreaming of that cold, crisp taste of my first beer when I get home. Tastes like liberty.
freedom,
ringing across
every doubters mind.
it’s taking a step
in the right direction
even when others don’t
think it wise.
hell, they’re just afraid
of success.
it’s being bold,
being fresh,
being free.
Liberty or Freedom ? Is There a difference between them ? Liberty has the pompous resonance of mass movements, revolutions… Freedom seem more individual.
Liberty. Ouuh, what a delectable and savory, savory word. I remember when I was first thinking about it when I was 9? 10? In my mind, “liberty”, oh the great sun goddess, was this state of being when I escaped my parents’ clutches. Little did I know that there is no such thing even know in my adulthood. Ahh life. <3.
People are afraid of losing their liberty to some all-powerful government. This possibility begs the question: what is liberty? Is it the freedom to do as you please – to think, live, desire whatever you choose? Or is it the feeling that you opinion matters in a group consensus?
liberty is limitless potential to do all things that come to mind, boundless opportunity only hemmed in by one’s own mind. Liberty is a statue on an island that ignores the boundaries set by that fact. Give me your poor your tired your weak your hungry and I will give them potential.
the flag waves every windy day and signifies our liberty.
